We decided we had probably better take it a little easy on Day 3, and that is just what we did. We slept in, and then took our time getting ready for the day. One thing I wanted to show you is the Spanish Moss that was on many of the trees at our resort. We loved the way it looked. Check this out...
Right inside the gates, we saw a few gators. Jesse was the first to spot them. Still not sure why that big white bird is so chilled out. They must taste awful since, as many of you know, I have done extensive research and found that nothing will go uneaten that gets too close to crocadiles (and bears and sharks)! Of course, these were just the little guys.
THESE, were not the "little guys!"
The note on the white one's cage said he was particularly nasty. Two well trained, experienced handlers have to take care of him every day because he is very territorial and goes after anyone who comes in. The guy in the middle was captured and brought into Gatorland because he'd been killing dogs. His name is Chester, and he weighs over 1,000 pounds!
Next came gator wrestling!!! The kids loved it and the handlers really knew how to play to the crowd. It was a lot of fun.
