Easter

Easter was a lot of fun for everyone this year.  We colored Easter Eggs, rolled them, and the Easter Bunny even made it to our house.  The kids were very excited.  We always tell the kids they can't go down and see what the Easter Bunny left until we (the parents) go down too, so we can see the excitement in their eyes.  Well, Jesse pretty much ignores this advice.  I was just getting out of bed, and we were thinking that we'd beaten the kids up, when Jesse came bounding up the stairs (having peeked at everything already) with WIDE eyes and a HUGE smile.  "The Easter Bunny came!!!"  Before we could stop him, he darted past me, into Soleil's room, and called out, "Soleil, the Easter Bunny came!"  She obviously was done sleeping, so it was was a matter of getting Rhett up, which wasn't too hard.  They had a great time, and so did we.

Despite the Easter Bunny side of things, we do our best to remember the real reason Easter is celebrated, which is because of the resurrection of our Savior.  It gives us a special time of year to reflect on all that He has done for us.
