Soleil is Eagle of the Month

We have been absent from the blogosphere for a while.  It has been a very busy and stressful 10 weeks or so, but things seem to have settled down slightly and stabilized, though work is still very busy. 

With my excuses out of the way, I now need to recognize Soleil for earning Eagle of the Month honors last month at Walker International School.  She is working very hard in school and learning a lot.  She's gotten several Smarty Pants awards which are a small daily reconition for good work - if the kids get five of those they get to eat lunch with the teachers in the teachers' lounge (I think). 

In addition to her work in school, she and Dad, continue to work on learning capitals.  I think I've written before that she knows all of the states' capitals as well as their nicknames and other things they are known for.  So, we've moved on to the countries of the world.  She knows most countries' capitals with the exceptions of about 80% of Africa, Eastern Europe, and a handful of Southeast Asian and South American countries.  She's a hard worker, and is always pushing me to challenge her with a new country because she wants to learn more.
