Ang and I have now been married 17 years! Seems like not so long ago that we would pass each other on the sidewalk back at College Ave in Cedar City as we went to and from classes. I finally got up the courage to ask her out, and the rest, as they say, is history.
We went to the Lindo Michoacan in Henderson tonight for dinner. It is located on a hill as you travel South on Carnegie Rd, giving it a beautiful view of the city. They have some of the best Mexican food in the Las Vegas Valley there, and didn't disappoint tonight. It's a good thing we had reservations because when we got there it looked like a 30-45 minute wait to get a table. I'd let them know that it was our anniversary when I made the reservation, and specifically asked for a window table so that we'd have a good view of the City while we ate. They gave us a perfect table that was in the corner and as quiet as we could hope for (it's a pretty lively restaurant, so it's not silent by any means, but still great). The view was awesome. We got stuffed jalapenos for an appetizer, and may I just say, there wasn't enough water in the place to put that fire out. They were so good, but my mouth felt like a volcano.
After dinner, we drove back home, deciding to pick up a movie on the way. We got Avatar, but got it going waaayyy too late (about 10:30, after the kids were in bed). Just a thought: don't start a 3 hour movie at 10:30. Poor Ang didn't see half of it and my eyes felt like asphalt the entire next day.
I look forward to 17 more wonderful years and beyond...
